Art is the manifestation of culture, and in a lot of ways history is the study of cultures. So, art and history are inseparable. If you want to know about one you'll have to know about the other. And thus was born Artist of the Week, in which I'll take an artist that's peaked my fancy, pick three of his most notable works, and dive into the analytics and significance. Interesting, easy, and free. As E. M. Forster said, "History develops, art stands still."
